AI Content Provenance

The ability to trace a piece of AI-generated content back to the source inputs and process that produced it.

AI content provenance is the ability to trace a specific piece of generated content back to the inputs, model, and checks that produced it: which approved claims it drew from, which model version rendered it, which verification step it cleared before release. Without that trace, a finished asset is just a result with no visible history behind it, which makes "why does this say that" a hard question to answer after the fact.

In pharma, provenance is moving from a nice-to-have toward something closer to an audit expectation. If a reviewer asks why an asset makes a particular claim, "the model produced it" isn't an answer. "This claim traces to this approved source, checked at this stage" is. A pipeline where every claim is linked to a dossier entry and checked again after rendering is building that trace in as a byproduct of how it works, rather than reconstructing one after the asset already exists.
