PRC (Promotional Review Committee)
The internal, cross-functional committee that signs off on a promotional asset before it goes out.
A PRC, Promotional Review Committee, is the internal committee that reviews and approves a pharma company's promotional materials before they're used externally. In practice it's often the same people doing MLR review, Medical, Legal, and Regulatory reviewers, sitting as a single body with sign-off authority, sometimes joined by compliance or marketing representatives depending on how the company is structured.
PRC approval is the gate before an asset can be filed with the FDA via Form 2253, so it's where most of the back-and-forth over a claim actually happens, not after the fact. SwishX's claims-linked and output-verified stages run before and after generation, checking implied claims and fair balance automatically. That doesn't remove the need for a PRC's sign-off, but it does mean fewer surprises reach the committee in the first place.
