Human-in-the-Loop
A system design where a human reviews or approves AI output before it's finalized, distinct from full automation.
Human-in-the-loop describes a system design where a human reviews or approves an AI-generated result at a defined point before it counts as final, rather than a fully automated pipeline that ships output with no one checking it first. The human's job at that point is specific: approve, reject, or send it back, not necessarily redo the work themselves.
Pharma's MLR process is one of the clearest examples of this pattern, and it isn't going away no matter how good upstream generation gets: an asset still needs Medical, Legal, and Regulatory sign-off before it ships. What changes is how much that review has to catch. SwishX's output-verified stage checks the rendered asset against the approved claim set and fair balance requirements before a human reviewer ever sees it, so the human-in-the-loop step becomes a confirmation of something already checked, rather than the first point anything gets caught at all.
