NBA (Next Best Action)

The field-system recommendation telling a rep what to do next for a given HCP or account, based on recent data signals.

NBA is the recommendation a field system generates to tell a rep what to do next for a given HCP or account, based on recent data signals rather than a fixed call list. Those signals typically include prescribing trends, digital engagement (did the HCP open an email or attend a webinar), time since the last call, and account-level changes like a formulary shift.

The point of NBA is prioritization. A rep working a territory of several hundred accounts can't treat every one the same way in a given week, and NBA logic is meant to surface the handful of accounts where a call, a sample, or a follow-up email is most likely to matter right now, instead of leaving that judgment entirely to the rep's memory of who's due for a visit.
