FFE (Field Force Effectiveness)
The discipline of measuring and improving how well a pharma sales field force executes its territory plan.
FFE is the discipline of measuring and improving how well a pharma sales field force executes its go-to-market plan. It covers coverage (are the right HCPs being called on at all), frequency (how often), and call quality (is the conversation actually landing), rather than the content a rep carries into the call.
FFE sits inside sales operations, not marketing, and it's the lens leadership uses to tell apart problems that look identical from a missed sales number but have different causes: a training gap, a targeting gap, or a plain staffing gap. A territory drawn badly produces the same soft numbers as a rep who needs coaching, and FFE metrics are what separates the two before a fix gets applied to the wrong problem.
